And cleaning up! And washing!

If it wasn't that I needed to cook to feed dc then dh would fucking starve.

Does anybody else tire of hearing 'leave that washing up, I'll do it' and you know full well the washing up will still be in the bowl when the waters cold and the kitchen will still be a shithole in 1hr...

I just want a fucking kebab

Off you go for a kebab then Xmas Wink

blackteasplease · 16/12/2018 16:50

What is stopping you from getting one?

Oatomatom · 16/12/2018 16:50

All of that. And I get so sick of my own cooking...

erykahb · 16/12/2018 16:53

Oh gosh I am so sick of my own cooking too! Honestly I would have just ordered one but I have a 2 year old and he wouldn't benefit like I would from a kebab, so I'm cooking anyway for him so might as well just eat it myself.

I just want dh to come and tell me to sit down, he's got it, rather than the false and forced 'I'll do it' while just standing there not doing a bloody thing

Oilybeans · 16/12/2018 16:54

Buy a dishwasher.

The80sweregreat · 16/12/2018 16:54

I'd rather do anything in the chores line than cook! I feel your pain but it's a necessary evil and I am also sick of the washing. 4 adults produce shedloads.
Running a home is monotonous especially in the winter.

erykahb · 16/12/2018 16:54

I've just been up most of last night with a sick 6 year old and I'm just ratty Grin

Just needed a little moan

OP posts:
erykahb · 16/12/2018 16:55

Oilybeans I would but I'd still be the one to fill and empty it!!!!!!!!

erykahb · 16/12/2018 16:56

The80sweregreat let's just tell them all that unless their clothes are stinky and black then they aren't being washed Grin

I'm sitting waiting for someone else to volunteer to cook. The bolognese sauce is defrosting because it was frozen, all that needs to be cooked is pasta.

I can guarantee they're all waiting for me to cook it

erykahb · 16/12/2018 16:58

FrancesFryer be strong, I'm almost certain you deserve a night off. Let someone else do it

FrancesFryer · 16/12/2018 17:01

Ooo someone's just volunteeredGrin

Calzone · 16/12/2018 17:01

I just can’t believe we have to eat 3 meals a day.

It’s so monotonous and boring. I love food and don’t mind cooking so much. It’s the thinking of what to eat, planning, shopping, cleaning up.

I wish someone would say Please can we have lasagne, stir fry, fajitas etc

But no one ever does.

Sexnotgender · 16/12/2018 17:02

I love cooking! More because I’m a total control freak and like how I cook stuff though.

Thankfully DH & DD always clean up straight away and I don’t have to touch it.

The80sweregreat · 16/12/2018 17:03

I know! My washing basket is never empty.
My eldest does wash his own uniform but getting stuff dry is a pain ( tumble in the garage is old and doesn't work that well)
It's all just hanging around!
Washers are great but it's the volume I can't deal with! Lol

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 16/12/2018 17:15

YABU.
It's a "takeaway," not "takeout."

Jezzifishie · 16/12/2018 17:20

I think you've just described my whole childhood! My Mum worked in the kitchen at a Secondary school. 'I've been cooking all day, I don't want to cook for you lot as well!' Usually followed by 'here are some leftovers from lunch today'. Luckily she worked at a different school, so I didn't have the same lunch twice!

erykahb · 16/12/2018 17:39

Calzone fajitas Grin delicious and actually enjoyable to prepare.

If I didn't have to clean up I'd love to cook maybe

I normally love cooking but tonight I just cannot be bothered. Kids have had prawns, peas and pasta with Phily cheese mixed in. I’m not going to bother eating and I’ve bought my H a pot noodle if he wants a meal he’ll hsve to make it

erykahb · 16/12/2018 17:42

GrumpBum123 it's Sunday, that's the spirit!

Grin Fair play. I do actually want to stab someone right now glares at dh
erykahb · 16/12/2018 18:39

Have a biscuit and get him to give you a foot rub. It's always the dh, mines my problem right now too Grin
