No show Royal Mail redelivery: what’s the latest they redeliver?

So I’m going stir crazy with a wasted Saturday where I’ve spent all day waiting for a now show Royal Mail redelivery. What a waste of a day.

Of course Customer Services is shut and their website just indicates that redeliveries may take place until early evening.

What do you think the cut off time would be so I can at least go out for a walk and get some fresh air and bits and bobs?

Sod’s law is if I step out now the redelivery will turn up!

I had a delivery at 7.45 on Thursday evening from Royal Mail, so guessing it is at least 8? Sorry!

They probably finished st 14.00 ish.

Can you track it online?

I had 4 missed redeliveries for obe parcwl.

I wasted 2 days A/L indoors.

I asked the postman in person everytime did he have my parcel?

He kept saying no. I rang head office, they didnt give a shit either.

It came 2 weeks later.

No tracking number.

Got a card earlier this week through letter box and went online to arrange redelivery to avoid the trek to the sorting office on an industrial estate (!).

So just a reference number for the redelivery that doesn’t enable tracking

The only thing worse than waiting in all day but would be to go out now and find they then tried to redeliver!

I had a Royal Mail delivery lobbed over my back fence the other day. Plenty of neighbors were in at the time.
Think all the delivery companies have fucked up one of my deliverys in the past.

Sort of expect better from Royal Mail

I had a Royal Mail delivery just after 9pm one day last week....

Huh - was just about to head out thinking surely now it’s too late for delivery!

Has it arrived?

No .

Apparently Customer Services are open this morning so will phone them and see what can be done.

Ha - been holding now for 41 minutes on Royal Mail’s Customer Services.

Starting to feel like Phoebe from Friends in that episode where she spends all day waiting for someone to pick up (‘your call is important to us’)

Resolved.

Their records indicate no attempt made at redelivery .

Will now be redelivered to local Post Office as not at home during the day until next Saturday.

They xan’t Waive the Post Office pick up charge (different company) but by way of apology are sending me a boo of first class stamps!

That’s actually quite good customer service (well, apart from the fact the item wasn’t redelivered)
