To hate the snow...

Is it just me who blooming detests the stuff.
We have it forecast this afternoon.
Anyone else have snow where they are?

We don’t have any forecast and I love it! Wish you could send me yours!

brizzledrizzle · 15/12/2018 13:41

None here, just persistent drizzle as usual. It was a mix of ice and rain this morning.
Where are you?

salbalbo · 15/12/2018 13:44

I'm in Durham.
Supposed to be getting here around 3/4 ish ⛄️

Love the snow but hate the resultant muddy slush that then invariably turns to almost impassable jagged ice when the temperature drops again a couple of days later. We had weeks of that on and off earlier this year. Sad

brizzledrizzle · 15/12/2018 13:46

Oh, I bet Durham looks lovely in the snow - I'll look out for snow fun pictures from a friend up there then.

salbalbo · 15/12/2018 13:56

It looks beautiful up here when it snows but a nightmare to try and get up the bank.
I live on a hill and when it turns to ice ..it's carnage.

I hate it too.
I was ultra happy there is none here before the end of the year and hoping for none in 2019. Hope it melts quickly for you.

ikltownofboothlehem · 15/12/2018 16:05

I despise it. And sometimes it means DH can't work so we lose income.

ForalltheSaints · 15/12/2018 16:07

I don't mind but it means my mum struggles to go out.

Weather presenters should not assume any kind of weather is good for everyone.

ilovesooty · 15/12/2018 16:10

You're not alone. I hate it too.

Harrykanesrightsock · 15/12/2018 16:14

Has it started in Durham yet? Supposed to be going out but I’m really not feeling it. It’s no cold we are north of Newcastle and it’s just freezing rain and wind.

Aragog · 15/12/2018 16:16

Hate it!

We had hail and sleet on the forecast but fortunately no snow. I dislike cold weather entirely tbh - it was freezing yesterday; infant dropped below by the time I left work.

Cold weather makes my joints ache and increases my levels of pain, so I end up taking more and more pain meds as the winter goes on.

Once I retire I will be spending several weeks each winter in warmer climates! It's part of my pension planning to enable it.

I hate it too, I'm in Scotland & we have some forecast. It's all fine and good if you can stay in the house but I hate travelling in it Sad

salbalbo · 15/12/2018 16:36

Luckily it's just sleet here phew
Hopefully we've missed the snow
It's so cold tho
My bones have frozen brrrrrr
