DWP letters to my mother's address??

Not really an AIBU but I have no Idea where I would even post this?

I am really confused. I receive PIP, and have only ever received it at my current address. Today my mother received a letter addressed to me about my PIP (something she was unaware of and is disapproving). I've never lived at her current address and have never had anything delivered to her house for me. I was obviously confused and asked her to open it. I just feel really uncomfortable now that the DWP sent the letter to my mother's address. I have no clue how they even got it. Any ideas?

Ask them

I had my tax credits letter go to my eldest son's father's address after an absolute fuck up from the old CSA when they went in to an old claim (one that I was forced to do for my 2 week claim for income support when we split up) that never even became active. They wanted to shut it down. Instead they changed my address to his address. We've been split up 10 years and I've never lived at his address!
To make matters worse - they did this TWICE!!
I had to get my MP involved as I was terrified of my single claim being investigated and money stopped as a result of their error (because as legitimate as the claim was, HMRC and DWP are not known for their competence in such matters).

Not wanting to sound harsh OP, but how on earth would we know, you need to call them, and without the content of the letter.

What is your AIBU?
