Am off to bingo tonight AIBU to take my own bottle of wine rather than pay the extortionate bar prices of a decent bottle. I will buy one glass so i then have a glass Blush Is it being a bit CF theres me and a friend so wont be alone.

When i normally go I take soft drinks and sweets. AIBU to take wine?

it is a licensed place- if so you can't

What are you going to do, pour it under the table?

OneMoreNameHiccup · 14/12/2018 18:22

Hmmm the venue might not like that, but try! Report back ...

If it was a struggling local pub, I'd say no.

Bingo halls don't rely on alcohol sales and you are still spending money, so yes.

Carry the bottle in a bottle bag, or wrap it, then it looks like you are taking a present for someone you're meeting.

I know someone who does this, but more at community centres, not pubs, where there’s a disco and it’s pretty dark. She pours it into a çoke bottle. Why not, the cost some establishments charge for alcohol is ridiculous. £7 for a glass of for Sauvignon blanc! I can buy a whole bottle of it in a supermarket!

I used to do this all the time, I’d put the bottle on the table, everyone always assumed I’d bought it from there. Go for it, as long as you buy something first
