To ask if anyone else took a long time to get pregnant the second time?

My first pregnancy was after one month TTC. We had a miscarriage.

Second pregnancy was after one month of trying. Resulted in DD, who is now 2.

So I figured we're quite fertile!

But we've tried the last 3 months and had no luck. Is this common? Just looking for reassurance really I guess, would be good to know if it's not unusual and doesn't mean anything much.

Three months is no time to wait.

Your fertility could have declined in the two years. But the average time to conceive is around a year, which is why they say wait that long before going to the GP.

I stopped ovulating after a miscarriage and it took me three years to get pregnant again, at 27.

8 years.
I had secondary infertility. My first was unplanned!
Look into maximising your chances eg knows no your fertile signs, ovulation sticks etc if nothing after 12 months get a referral just in case.

there was supposed to be a two year gap between my oldest and next one and by the time i gave birth to her there was four years gap between them, no reason it just took me that long to get pregnant the second time round

Got pregnant on first cycle for DS1 when I was aged 29.
Second time around we were TTC for 6 months, when I was 32. Had a very early mc at 5 weeks, then pregnant the following cycle which resulted in DS2. So that was 7 months in total.
I think it's pretty normal tbh! It's probably a combination of luck and ageing. Tmi sorry but I've definitely noticed I have significantly fewer days of egg white cervical mucus since entering my 30s.
