If he hadn't given in to pressure from Tory back benchers we would still be bumbling along in Europe.

If you do manage to get David Cameron's head on a platter, will you get a large male pig to come in and do with it what he will?

LastOneDancing · 13/12/2018 09:49

He caused a gigantic clusterfuck then buggered off for someone else to clear up.

Aye. Him and Farage.

Like rats deserting a sinking ship.

If you truly want to know what the people think now in 2018, we need another vote - and voting should be compulsory. Then we would know if the Brexit on offer is really what the majority want.

WilburforceRaven · 13/12/2018 09:51

I'm with Danny Dyer.

He's like any other Tory: a self-absorbed cunt after his own power and purse and that of his cronies.

Anyone who believed otherwise is just a fool.

EssentialHummus · 13/12/2018 10:00

I wasn’t against the referendum but I think it should have had ADVISORY ONLY written across the top in big letters. And yes, I blame Cameron.

foxtiger Grin and 😵 (don't seem to have the vomit emoji).

How original, another Remainer pity party. Time to stop whining.

Schmoobarb · 13/12/2018 19:05

Barely anybody gave a monkey's about EU membership until they were whipped into a frenzy about it by the tabloids and the likes of Farage

Yup same here re Scottish independence. The SNP were always just a small minority single issue party and all of a sudden half the country were frothing about “Wastemonster” etc having not bothered their arse for decades

Schmoobarb · 13/12/2018 19:07

Maybe you haven’t noticed but a lot of Brexiteers are far from happy just now. In fact a bunch of them tried to oust the PM who has been left with the job of trying to implement the will of the people.

ilovesooty · 13/12/2018 19:08

Remainer pity partyHmm

megletthesecond · 13/12/2018 19:11

Yanbu.

Off to the tower and heads on sticks the lot of them. Cameron, Johnson, Farage, Bannon, Mercer etc. Their childish, selfish power struggles are ruining this country.

lljkk · 13/12/2018 19:14

Tories got a majority on the back of promise they would do a Referendum. Plus the issue had been festering for many yrs & was getting worse. So I'm in the YABU camp. Voters wanted this.

N0rdicStar · 13/12/2018 19:15

Another remainer pity party- where I'm sitting the biggest whiners wanting pity are those who voted leave. Have you not seen Mog et al speaking recently. If it wasn't so tragic it would be hilarious.

missyB1 · 13/12/2018 19:18

As far as I’m concerned Cameron practically committed treason and should be locked in the bloody tower! And I said it at the time of the referendum. He knew damn well what he was doing and what he was potentially condemning this Country to, but he didn’t give a flying fuck!

PortiaCastis · 13/12/2018 19:21

I'm also with Danny Dyer, Cameron is a twat as is farridge along with boris and their lies have split the country and will bring it to its knees. I need insulin daily and if it gets held up in a ten mile queue of lorries at the border I may expire so yes Cameron you're a fucking smug clueless idiot for calling a referendum without any thought what may happen If the result went against you, no planning no sense no clue no forward thought

Rememory · 13/12/2018 19:46

What IS David Cameron doing these days?

superstarburst · 13/12/2018 20:02

it was all about picking up the UKIP vote. Remember when Farage seemed to be a bit of a joke. Now we are all dancing to his tune.

If brexiteers are so certain it's the will of the country, let there be another referendum

Forzaitalia · 13/12/2018 20:19

I agree with you OP. To give us the chance to vote about something none of us really had a clue about was ridiculous. It has left the British people arguing and the government arguing over whether remain or leave is the best option. MPs know much more than we do about Brexit and they can’t agree! Cameron, Farage, Johnson etc promised the world if we left, and scurried into the undergrowth when the deed was done. What a bunch of cowardly liars. They have caused a divided country.

ilovesooty · 14/12/2018 00:18

I would like to see Cameron tried for treason.

Ladymargarethall · 14/12/2018 06:24

I think Cameron was so confident he would win the referendum and it backfired big time.
All we here is brexit when there are other issues that affect ordinary folk much more, universal credit, disability benefits housing to name a few.
Can we have an election to get rid of this government.? Please

Mablethorpe · 14/12/2018 06:29

Cameron had little choice but to offer a vote in the face of the rise in popularity of UKIP. It was a no-win situation in my opinion - offer the people a chance to have a say on the issues Farage said were important or stand by and let him take over the country and fuck it over good and proper.

Urbanbeetler · 14/12/2018 06:31

I think the referendum should have taken place with the understanding that leave needed a significant margin of victory - say 65% of the vote - for us to leave. That would have given a margin for for people voting leave because they were pissed off with the government of the time rather than because they understood the implications.

Bohemond · 14/12/2018 06:38

A referendum was inevitable and all but promised by the Labour Party as well. The big issue for me is the Labour Party's absolute lack of clear support for the Remain campaign as they didn't want to share a platform with the Tories.

Had Corbyn/McDonnell/Starmer been in power and come back from Brussels with May's deal they would be shouting about how well they had done. And now they would prefer to align with the ERG than back a sensible compromise. TWATS.

Ladymargarethall · 14/12/2018 06:41

vickibee I agree with you completely. So many people using foodbanks even though they have (minimum wage) jobs, people being sanctioned for missing appointments through no fault of their own, universal credit, the whole stressful PIP assessment system. Makes me want to cry. Meanwhile MPs who have no idea what it is like to struggle to make end s meet are grinning outside foodbanks. SadSadSad
