I have no great love for Theresa May but I've had enough of the bloody politicians infighting like school kids while the country and our reputation is going down the toilet. A change of PM and another change of direction for the Tory's is going to be a (n even worse)disaster.

contact your MP Do it now, today, before they vote.

Done

AndThereSaw · 12/12/2018 14:06

Thanks 5foot5
Not sure that 2 of us will make much of a difference but if we don't try we'll never know!

If i was going to contact my (Labour) MP, it would be to encourage them to get canvassing for Corbyn in hope of a general election- that’s the country’s only hope...

AndThereSaw · 12/12/2018 15:03

I think it's too late for that Merename. Or at least too late to prevent a crash-out if the don't sort themselves out in the next 24 hours.
Lets have a GA next year. Corbyn can have his chance to make it all better then.

My MP refuses to use email, so no luck with mine sadly.

She’s worked incredibly hard to please everyone as best she can, which is hard when everyone wants different things.

If I were her I’d stick two fingers up to the ungrateful bunch and disappear on a long holiday somewhere. She’ll need it by the time her position at the top is over.

category12 · 12/12/2018 15:37

Eh, my MP was one of the ones who sent in a letter of no confidence, so I'm thinking it would be pissing in the wind Grin.

5foot5 · 12/12/2018 15:39

Well I have just had a reply from my MP to say he will be backing Theresa tonight. So there you go, done my bit!

53rdWay · 12/12/2018 15:42

I don’t particularly want her to stay but she’s better than some of the possible alternatives

My MP is SNP though so not much he could do one way or the other!

AdamNichol · 12/12/2018 15:45

Or contact your MP to argue for her to go.

Or realise that your MP probably couldn't give a cup of warm piss for your opinion on this matter

dippledorus · 12/12/2018 15:46

My MP won't give a shit they're not a Tory.

tryinganewname · 12/12/2018 15:47

My MP is Labour Envy can I contact the Conservative MP in the next town over?

RaiderOfTheKitchenCupboard · 12/12/2018 15:49

My MP is in the ERG so zero point. I troll him on twitter occasionally cos he’s a cockwomble.

loveka · 12/12/2018 15:49

Good idea. I have just written to Chris Grayling.

taratill · 12/12/2018 15:50

merename do you realise that Corbyn is pro-brexit? on this issue a general election will not help unless there is a change in Labour leadership.

Merename · 12/12/2018 16:11

Yes @taratill, but the big difference is that Corbyn is pro-brexit because of concerns about the European trend towards austerity etc and his brexit aims would be about pursuing more socialist principles that benefit both us and Europe. Tory Brexit is about benefitting the rich and killing shafting the poor.

CloserIAm2Fine · 12/12/2018 16:15

I honestly don’t believe any of them give a shiny shit about what their constituents think. They’re acting in pure bloody minded self interest. If they cared even a tiny bit about what’s best for the country they would be at least pretending to act like adults rather than tantruming toddlers

MimiSunshine · 12/12/2018 16:18

My MP has already publicly stated he will be backing TM otherwise I would do this

ghostsandghoulies · 12/12/2018 16:19

The 2 MPs that cover our town are backing TM.

icannotremember · 12/12/2018 16:21

My MP is Labour, I don't think there's much point contacting him. I would like to know whether he's hoping she survives or not, but he's hardly likely to tell me.

SassitudeandSparkle · 12/12/2018 16:31

I tweeted mine, although he seems to have some support - he's voting against her. I think they've lost touch with what their constituents want here, less infighting and more action needed!

ZanZeeee · 12/12/2018 16:40

Done. And pleased to report that my (excellent) Tory MP replied to my email a mere 50 mins later.

chillpizza · 12/12/2018 16:46

Ours announced they where backing her first thing. Lots of angry comments to local press about that as they want TM out locally.

Dragongirl10 · 12/12/2018 17:10

I won't back her she is doing a terrible job, this deal is atrocious and will cost us dear for generations to come. I hope she loses the vote.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 12/12/2018 17:12

Mines in the ERG and wrote his letter months ago. Giant twat.

UnalliterativeGeorge · 12/12/2018 17:13

My MP is on trial Confused
