Bloody DH and the turkey!

Blatant moan about my DH, sorry!
DH likes to get out turkey from a naice local butcher. He then does lovely things to it and it tastes amazing, so he can then blather on about "quality" and all that stuff.
I've been telling him for weeks that he needs to order it. It's his job. I'm not doing it (because I do lots of other stuff and he needs to take some responsibility, frankly)
So, 12 days before Xmas he's finally gone on the website and...they've sold out Hmm. We'll get one from somewhere else and it'll be fine, but bloody hell! If I had. Pound for every time he's said "yeah I going to do it later" argh!!!
He is terrible for doing this. It takes me all my willpower not just to take over, but I am determined to shift some responsibility for things to him. He holds down a responsible job, but he is the worlds worst procrastinator in his daily life. I can't give in though!

I guess he won't be so slow to order next year now!

There are plenty of places you can get a posh turkey. I got let down one year on Christmas eve and ended up getting a bronze free-range half price in the co op. It was lovely

Oh well. Perhaps he'll learn eventually. Keep on leaving it to him, for sure.

Yanbu

As long as he has to find and get one from somewhere else, not you!

(I am jealous that he's cooking the thing though!)

My dad was in charge of ordering a new shed over the summer. The old one had been dismantled and all the contents in my parents' house. He didn't order it because it was an 8 week wait, and he'd "be able to get a shorter waiting time" if he waited till after summer. He couldn't comprehend that waiting six weeks to order wouldn't actually work out being less time to wait.

He eventually ordered it at the start of September and it had a 10 week wait.

I'm sure there will be farms not to farm away with some available
