I split up with my baby’s dad when she was 2 Months old because he wasn’t helping I was stressing out because she had colic the first few months of her life so I was tired and he thought he didn’t have to help she is now 9 months old he sees her basically when he can be bothered he comes to my house falls asleep on the sofa or just sits on his phone ignoring me 24/7 she has no bond at all with him I am also due back to work next week and I’m worried about leaving him with her with him any time I talk to him about it he walks out or just ignores me so I get angry he pays nothing towards her so I’m struggling to live he never has her his family never bother to see her I’m struggling to find a way to make everything better

He’s an idiot. Accept that and move on. See if you can find out what benefits you would be entitled to to help you with the costs of childcare returning to work and the cost of living. If he works but won’t pay towards your DC, go through CMS. You don’t have to accept his mediocre version of parenting. Do what you need to to sort yourself and DC, and make it so you don’t rely on him for anything. He clearly isn’t capable of delivering it.

If they want to help, let them-they wouldn’t have offered otherwise. You’d do the same for your child when they’re old enough.
