To just feel like I CBA?!

I'm at work, sat at my desk in my office.. I just cannot be arsed to do anything, at all!

I felt like this yesterday, too. I have no drive to do anything.. sure there's plenty I need to do, but can I put it off for a couple of days?

I feel like I've checked out!

When I feel like this it's because I have so much to do, that I become paralysed.
I'm sitting at my desk at home, on a day off, supposedly working on a research proposal, but actually surfing MN and watching Youtube videos.

Therefore I am about to shut the million tabs on my browser, set a timer and do something, anything, towards my research for 10 minutes.
Once I've started I know it will be better. But I've been thinking about this for about 3 hours now...

Oh I hear you. The 'do something (anything) for 10 minutes' approach is good, I basically work in 10 minute bursts throughout the day. I reckon my headstone will just say CBA!

I am a very lazy person by nature. I used to struggle with it, and not like it about myself, but I've learned to embrace it. It's an evolutionary thing, apparently - laziness promotes efficiency and appropriate use of resources or something. I could probably find out but I CBA.

Thanks for the replies, I'm glad it's not just me!

It's been happening more and more recently, I have maybe two really productive days and then spend the other three doing what I can to avoid doing anything, it's hard work trying to do nothing! But I can't snap myself out of it!

The 10 minute idea sounds good, I might give that a go.. I've sent a few sporadic emails and colour coded my inbox (super useful Hmm) so far today.

I must do something..!!

Have a butcher's at this if you can fit it into your busy schedule of procrastination. We are NOT lazy, we are just contributing to the evolution of the species Wink

I love it! I might print it and leave it strategically on my boss's desk..!!
