AIBU to worry that a break in last year may affect my house sale

Sale all going through nicely, however, we have been asked to disclose any burglaries or break ins and, as we were burgled on Boxing Day of last year (nice time of year for it) I'm not worried that the buyers may now pull out. They only took cash.

The police told us that the incident was v unusual for an otherwise safe, low crime area. It was the first time anything like this had happened in 10 years of living in the house.

AIBU to worry?

Well, if I was your buyer and I liked the house I might ask what measures were taken to make it more secure post break in but I don’t think it would stop me if I really liked the property. I don’t think anywhere is immune from that kind of thing nowadays.

I wouldn't worry, anywhere can get burgled.

I'd disclose the burglary then point the buyers to this website where they can put in your postcode and see that for themselves. Am sure that will reassure them.
