To give up watching 'The Good Life' on Netflix

I'm 5 episodes in to season 2. It's just not funny and a bit boring. I feel like I've watched so much though I need to keep going! Do you just give up on programme if you aren't enjoying them or carry on in case it gets better? Does anyone actually like it?

I loved the first series of the good place. Watched the rest for easy mindless viewing. I like the idea but think it's just being stretched out now

The Good Place I gave up on before the end of season 1.

You have to get to the end of season 1. You simply have to. Go back and try again.

It's moving to E4 so it's doing something right. I've loved it, waiting for new episodes is a drag but I love Janet. I do think it lags a bit at the start of series 2 but it picks up again. Persevere.

I didn't even sit through the first episode. Wandered off for something and never went back. When i finally returned the fourth or 5th episode was on. I watched a minute or two and decided it wasnt for me.

Is it a sunk-cost fallacy thing?
Yes I think this totally explains my dilemma.

Keep going. It gets better I think. A lot better.

The Good Life =most days I channel my inner Margot , The Good Place? I have no idea what this is (last watched TV about the time The Good Life was on)

Ah - I get it - but if you're not down with Janet then it's definitely not your show.

I do think it polarised people, there was a thing about it in the Guardian recently.

Nowt wrong with ditching a show that's not working for you - I bored off Sabrina about half way through.

I love Margot, she is a character of genius.

I thought you meant good fight which is the good wife spin off and very good, though weird to hear swearing from the actors,
Good place is fun though, am a few episodes behind on season 3, much catch up!

I didn't like The Good Place until about 6 episodes in. So glad I stuck with it though - it got better and better.

We're on Season 3 and it's fantastic, we love it

I'm gobsmacked! I think it is such genius and so funny I can't imagine anyone not liking it! But that's the wierd thing about comedy I guess, one person's shirtballs is another person's shitballs.

The end of season 1 is not only great but also really different from what series do usually (hope thos doesn’t count as a spoiler?).

I really love it. Can’t believe I got to the end of season 3 in about a month (I only watch it in the gym as it distracts me from the horror of the cross trainer). But if you don’t like it, don’t watch it.

I love it. Janet is my favourite character though and if you don't like her then maybe don't bother.

For the pp who gave up on once upon a time - you don't know what you've missed! It's one of my favourite ever tv shows.

Janet! Janet is amazing. And the podcast is the best thing in a long time.

But if it’s not for you, stop watching! Leave it to those of us to whom it brings joy. And then find your own joyous thing

There was a new one on Friday. I just watched it.

Yanbu. The latest series is a but if a drag.

The good place - series one was slow for me and i just watched it when doing things around the house. The series that followed was worth sticking with it.
