I have wooden floor boards and I am constantly sweeping!! So much dust and hair everywhere!
Can anyone recommend a small hand vacuum or anything really...what do others do? Constantly sweep like me?? 😂

I wouldn't sweep. I hoover and damp mop, it's much more effective. Sweeping just moves it around.

same here.
Just remember that the dust is the same everywhere, but when you have carpets it just hides in there because you don't notice it. Gross. You see how clean your hard floors are, much more satisfying.

Get a roomba. I didn't want one at all but floors are dh's domain so it was his call and now I wouldn't be without it.

roomba are not great with dogs and cats! at least not mine.

SavoyCabbage · 09/12/2018 22:26

I've got a dog and she takes no notice of it at all. In fact, I sometimes press the roomba on if I want to eat a biscuit in secret so she can't hear me so it's an advantage really.

I like sweeping our wooden floors, I also hooverabout once a week and ecomop about the same.
I live in an early Victorian badly built workers cottage. It is constructed almost entirely of dust.

I damp mop too , sweeping kicks up far to much dust, Flat mops and Swifters are great .
You could also buy Tack cloths which are great for around the house on everything except glass.
