To think uploading school "fights" to social media should be illegal

Inspired somewhat by another thread....

Should uploading these fights, or any fight for that matter where there is a clear perpetrator and victim be illegal?Because what it actually is, is assault. Plain and simple. I can't get my head around why someone would stand and film someone getting beaten up rather than help/get help in the first place, let alone uploading it online for everyone to watch for entertainment. It's vile, and just thinking about it turns my stomach. The poor kids attacked in these videos then have to live with knowing that the video is out there forever for everyone to see. I feel so sorry for anyone who's been affected by something like this.

It will likely go poof for being a TAAT but yes

One of the murderers in the Shanda sharer case did little but be present... and claims that was due to fear that they could turn on her

There's not even fear involved if you're holding a camera and filming to upload on social media

I hate that bystander attitude. One thing to film something in hope it can bring someone to justice, another to do it for titilation/entertainment.

We were on a night out and stumbled into a suicide attempt- someone trying to throw themselves off a bridge. A teenage girl. Two young couples got there before we did and we’re doing their best to talk her down (one of the guys had got her to hold his hand). I made eye contact with her and sort of smiled sympathetically, DH phoned 999.

DH’s friend had to stop a guy who came past after us from filming it on his phone. I’ve never seen DH’s friend at all emotional before and he was so angry and upset afterwards.
