If you are planning on travelling next year.
At the moment dogs from the uk may travel on the PETS scheme so long as their rabies vaccination is up to date and has been done 3 weeks before travel.
Because nobody knows what the result of a no deal brexit will be, vets are advising people to get rabies titre testing (testing to see if sufficient antibodies in blood following vaccination) done.
This is because dogs from non listed countries require this to be done and there is the possibility that this may be a requirement for all.
The issue is that this needs to be done 3-4 months before travelling. So if you are travelling just pist brexit with your dog and this is the case you wont have had time to get this in place.
Atthe vets where i work we have informed clients however people do still seem unclear about it.
So just a heads up for folk who travel with their pets that this MAY become a requirement post brexit.
