Posting for traffic:

I am hosting a party for 50 adults over the holidays and am looking for inspiration for a fun party game.
I have previously done the newspaper fashion game, and a gingerbread house competition.

Please tell me your favourite (clean) party games!

Anyone?

Is the venue suitable for a cryptic-clue treasure hunt? This could be done in small teams.

rainbowquack · 06/12/2018 17:37

Not really, but that is something I could work with perhaps.

Articulate is probably our favourite.

...Or Monopoly if its just family and we don’t mind ww3.

JustABetterPlayer · 06/12/2018 17:40

Wait I didn’t read properly, daft games no idea... I’m always the idiot that brakes something (or myself).

rainbowquack · 06/12/2018 17:41

Hahaha thanks but monopoly with 50 guests might be a bit hard!

cards against humanity Grin

pilates · 06/12/2018 17:43

Could you do a Christmas quiz in teams?

Motherofajuggernaut · 06/12/2018 17:44

Google drama games and team building games. I am a drama teacher but I can't think of any that would adapt to a party type game with my end of term brain fig.

worriedaf · 06/12/2018 17:45

Cranium!

Elisheva · 06/12/2018 17:46

Have you done the egg protector? Teams have to build a capsule for an egg to sit in, at the end all of the eggs are dropped from a height and the survivor wins.
Or build the tallest tower from just newspaper.
Build a bridge from straws?
Watch taskmaster for some great game ideas.

Whyislarryhappy · 06/12/2018 18:00

Empty boxes any size - build a fort (2 teams) then snowball fight (screwed up paper)

rainbowquack · 06/12/2018 18:26

Oh, I like the fort and snowball game! (How would you determine the winner?)

OP posts:
Sitranced · 06/12/2018 18:35

The rizla game.

ShinyMe · 06/12/2018 18:42

I would run a mile if I turned up at a party and there were GAMES. I'd rather just have a drink and a bit of cake, and loads of crisps, and talk nonsense. Maybe that's just me though.

Whyislarryhappy · 06/12/2018 18:45

If you get hit by snowball you're out so its kind of like last man (or woman) standing

rainbowquack · 06/12/2018 19:28

@ShinyMe you could have a party for one in the corner. Thanks for your input.

Fr3d · 06/12/2018 19:35

Christmas quiz
Charades
Don't Say It
Dirty Minds (if you all have clean minds this is acceptable Grin)

All above in teams as so many!

Fr3d · 06/12/2018 19:36

For the fort games the kids have, each side has 3 items to protect...winning team is first to get the other teams 3 items

rainbowquack · 06/12/2018 21:59

Oh, I like that! Also looking at Mr and Mrs questions, that could be fun!

OP posts:
Bringbackbertha · 06/12/2018 22:24

There is one where you place a paper plate on your head then have to draw a picture described by the games keeper. You get points based on how accurate it is. Ie. Draw a Christmas tree, draw presents under the tree. 3 points if the presents are under the tree, 1 point for every bauble on the tree. You can find instructions on the internet, I did it with work colleagues and family was great fun. You might need some scouts to check there is no cheating!

There is the tie a nail around your middle so it dangles between your legs from your back and then you have to get the nail into a wine or beer bottle.

Start with a large cardboard box. Each person has to wrip some off with their teeth, using no hands and hands/body can't touch the floor. Did this one ended up with 2 people doing the splits trying to pick a tiny bit of cardboard up.

Shaving a balloon covered in shaving cream with a blunt razor

Pass the balloon down the line must go over first persons head then through legs of next ect ect no hands and if it gets dropped they start again

Pass the polo on cocktail sticks in the mouth down the line

Pass a playing card down the line by sucking it to your mouth..... people can't mind accidently kissing someone if they drop it..

Cinderella- as each guest arrives they remove a shoe. All the shoes are put in the middle or the room, have to find your shoe. First one is the winner. Last person gets a booby prize

Find your pair- as each person arrives they get given a name from a famous pair. They have to go around the room and find their match. Can stick to their head to make it harder

Quiz?

Run out of steam now can't think of any other successful ones at the moment

PutYourShirtOnMartin · 06/12/2018 22:25

Dead lions

Kids lie down

Last one who moves wins

I get a nice cup of tea

Bringbackbertha · 06/12/2018 22:26

Oh rolling a coin towards a bottle of something nice. Winner gets to take home the bottle.

Money gets put into a donation pot.

Used to be a pound coin but I am not sure that would work now! Maybe 10p?

ikltownofboothlehem · 06/12/2018 22:29

Potato punt. Tie a large potato round your waist dangling at the back. Swing potato to hit smaller potato down the hall to the winning line.

pilates · 06/12/2018 22:53

I want to go to bringbackbertha’s house
