Put it up (not too tightly) and then pull little pinch sized sections to make them a bit looser

A bit of mousse for texture and hold, then once it’s in a pony or bun, use your fingers to tease out looser sections to give it that relaxed, finger combed look.

I think it helps if your hair is not heavy! My very thick curly hair always looks weighed down by a loose bun/ pony tail. But Dd with half the amount of hair can get this look because the bun is perched on her head lightly, not dragging it back.

Does that make any sense at all ? No advice on styling beyond what’s been said, sorry.

Thats just not brushed. Pulled loosly up in pony n loose bun. My go to cba hair

I do pull my bun to make it looser but not tried since having 5 inches off. Always wondered if there was a secret I missed.

Yeah I achieve that look by not brushing my hair also.

Don't wash it for a few days and apply the Batiste dry shampoo which has the thickening stuff in.
