To think PETA do more harm than good?

Just as the title says really. I’m sure they do plenty of good too before anyone jumps in but it’s idiot things like their latest campaign that make people roll their eyes.

They claim that “Bring Home the Bacon” is ‘speciest’ and is as bad as being racist or homophobic.

Pic attached of the ‘offensive’ phrases and PETA’s ‘non-speciest’ alternative suggestions.

They are, predictably, getting slaughtered roasted made fun of on Twitter.

Theyve been a joke for as long as ive known them

lastqueenofscotland · 06/12/2018 13:29

Yanbu and I’m vegan. They really fuck me off

mbosnz · 06/12/2018 13:45

You're not wrong.

PumpkinKitty82 · 06/12/2018 13:50

It’s not that they are just complete idiots , they are also disgusting hypocrites and I don’t entertain anything they are involved with

Buster72 · 06/12/2018 13:50

I thought feeding birds scones and bread was wrong because they struggle to digest it.

MoaningSickness · 06/12/2018 13:55

Yabu to think 'they do plenty of good too'.

thetemptationofchocolate · 06/12/2018 14:01

Ugh! Peta do make me cross. Maybe they do mean well (although I can't quite work out how) but they do come out with some stupid things and this is one of them.

skybluee · 06/12/2018 14:04

If you fed two birds with one scone surely it would kill them? :/

DialsMavis · 06/12/2018 14:05

I'm vegan and I find them embarrassing

MsGrohl · 06/12/2018 14:05

They're all crackers and do more harm than good.

Monty27 · 06/12/2018 14:06

I think they're wankers quite frankly.
I love animals.

martingoresnipplechain · 06/12/2018 14:08

They're all on another planet entirely really. This is just another load of bollocks to prove it.

SirBobblyofSock · 06/12/2018 14:10

Totally agree. At a time when Veganism is becoming much more mainstream, they pop up to reinforce the narrative that anyone into animal rights is batshit. Can't get my head around how they can think they are helping and can only conclude that they are attention seeking bunch of pillocks.

ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 06/12/2018 14:12

This is how I feel about it.

Oh it didn’t attach!

To think PETA do more harm than good?
ReggieKrayDoYouKnowMyName · 06/12/2018 14:13

Yes it did. Ignore me.

Elfinablender · 06/12/2018 14:13

FFS. For a bunch of noisy disruptive bastards they are terribly sensitive little poppets.

MarthaArthur · 06/12/2018 14:17

PETA are a horrendous joke organisation. Read up on their euthenasia stats in their shelters. They also say stupid things for controversys sake and want all farm animals and pets put down to get rid of them.

MissionItsPossible · 06/12/2018 14:33

@PumpkinKitty82
It’s not that they are just complete idiots , they are also disgusting hypocrites

Can you elaborate? I don't know much about them apart from attention seeking stunts like this hence the "sure they do plenty of good' comment too.

NVM just saw Martha's comment, off to google...

PETA made an incredibly offensive advert linking autism and milk. They're awful.
