Admittedly I’m pretty crap with replying to messages, much prefer calls, especially with a wriggly DS it’s much easier. I call my dad almost daily and especially if I can’t reply to his message.
I see my dad every week, to add context he doesn’t work so we’re both usually quite flexible and he usually asks me which day works for me.
Last night, whilst at my Christmas party he messaged to confirm the time he was visiting today. Signal was rubbish and my phone battery died later on that night so I didn’t see his message until the morning. I also had quite a few wines !!
I replied this morning (early) apologising and he then said he’s now not free (we’d made this plan a week ago) I’ve since messaged him and got no response.
Now, am I being unreasonable? I almost feel like he’s teaching me a lesson?

Your right, he’s teaching you a lesson. But you did nothing wrong.
