To think this is normal?

When I clean my shoes, which is fairly often, I also rinse off and clean the soles of the shoes. This is just part of cleaning your shoes surely? AIBU to think DP is wrong and this is just normal?

Can’t say it is something I have ever done.

There again I rarely clean shoes other than polishing ds school boots when they need it.

abacucat · 05/12/2018 14:24

Do people not clean shoes these days then?

I don't clean my shoes really. Might do it with a baby wipes if they're really mucky. But generally - no. I have enough to clean.

snowflakealert · 05/12/2018 14:25

Depends how dirty they are I guess.

Ifailed · 05/12/2018 14:30

If they are muddy, I'll use a wire brush to remove it once dried, but that's it.

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 05/12/2018 14:50

Only if they are really dirty other wise I don't.

My running shoes go in the washing machine. Leather shoes I wipe with babywipes if they are muddy and polish about once a month. Don't do the soles.

I think I’ve only ever cleaned shoes a maximum of ten times in my life! Even then only a quick wipe. They just don’t need it.
