To be so over Xmas now....

... and wish it were New Year already.

My tree is drooping already - it’s been up since 15th November.

Black Friday’s long past.... DP and me got our presents for each other then, and knew what we’re getting, so ended up giving them to each other on Black Saturday.

My new Xmas jumper already has bobbles in it.

I’m fed up of the twinkly lights in the living room

I’ve had my work do on Saturday, and had Xmas lunch in work canteen today.

Heart Xmas has been pumping out of my car radio for weeks so have tuned back into Radio 1.

Anyone else feel they’ve had enough already?

Why did you put the tree up so early?

Sirzy · 04/12/2018 07:02

That’s what happens when you start it too soon!

My tree is still happily in the loft so I will start becoming festive from this weekend when it goes up

BishBoshBashBop · 04/12/2018 07:03

Anyone else feel they’ve had enough already?

No but we didn't put up our tree mid November.

IceRebel · 04/12/2018 07:04

That’s what happens when you start it too soon!

Agreed. This has nothing to do with Christmas, and everything to do with you choosing to start things too early. Confused

NotANotMan · 04/12/2018 07:07

No, because we don't have our decorations up yet and Christmas presents stay wrapped until the 25th!
Why did you start so early?

Pinkhorses · 04/12/2018 07:09

I think this is a jokey post.

DartmoorDoughnut · 04/12/2018 07:12

Well if you’ve already essentially done Christmas of course you’re over it!! Next year restrain yourself a bit, put your Christmas tree up in December and open your presents on Christmas Day you numpty

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 04/12/2018 07:13

Christmas is not until Dec, everything you've done has been your choice to do so, tree up in Nov, early gift giving...

This old traditional saying is very fitting you reap what you sow

Not at all! The excitement has only just begun. Decorations went up at the weekend but presents will wait until the 25th. The lovely food and drink will start when I break up from work on the 21st. We have a santa train booked for the 15th which we are very excited for. Your problem is that you didn't restrain the celebrations to December. I do lots of planning from the summer but don't do decorations, Christmas music, Christmas events, mince pies etc until December.

Monty27 · 04/12/2018 07:15

Happy new year OP Hmm

WipsGlitter · 04/12/2018 07:16

I agree this is a "joke" post but if not then yeah, starting Christmas in November is never a good idea!

hidinginthenightgarden · 04/12/2018 07:17

This bollocks. Not least because Heart radio only started xmas songs on Friday!

Blanchedupetitpois · 04/12/2018 07:18

I’d be over it too if I had put my tree up in November and already had my Christmas presents. Lesson learned for next year! Save Christmas for actual Christmas.

Oakenbeach · 04/12/2018 07:19

Not least because Heart radio only started xmas songs on Friday!

Heart Xmas radio station has been going since Rememberance Sunday Hmm.

RebelWitchFace · 04/12/2018 07:20

New Year? I think you should be starting to get ready for Easter!

blackteasplease · 04/12/2018 07:21

You ve peaked too early. You shouldn't ever peak too early.

I have to say if this is true, why would anyone put up their tree so early?

yawning801 · 04/12/2018 07:22

Heart Xmas radio station has been going since Rememberance Sunday hmm.

So how come on the Heart Radio website they have been announcing that their Xmas station starts on Friday 30th November...?

ZeroFuchsGiven · 04/12/2018 07:22

What is the thought process behind putting up your tree in November?

I really don't get it.

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 04/12/2018 07:23

Happy Christmas OP!
For 2019! Grin

Oakenbeach · 04/12/2018 07:24

Why did you put the tree up so early?

The shops all had theirs up before me so I’m hardly the odd one out!

Yes but Heart Xmas and Heart radio are different stations. If you choose to actually listen to a dedicated Christmas radio station that's your call. However, the actual Heart station has only just started playing Christmas songs.

ZeroFuchsGiven · 04/12/2018 07:26

Yep, its a windup.

Dairyqueen2 · 04/12/2018 07:28

Hmm this is a wind-up (for some reason...) People who put trees up mid-november do it because they love it.

waterlego6064 · 04/12/2018 07:28

Oh dear! Peaked too soon.

We have no tree up here (goes up on 19th) and no shopping done yet.

I don’t like Christmas though so it's a bit different.

Oakenbeach · 04/12/2018 07:30

yawning801

Heart Xtra Xmas has been going since 3rd November actually (sorry, got it wrong) as a quick online search will tell you. Heart may be starting their Xmas playlists from 30 Nov.
