Help needed please!

My 6 month old has had issues going for a poo since a week old! I’ve taken her to the doctors today and they have advised she has chronic constipation and prescribed her with Movicol.

My questions are - has anyone had experience with Movicol with a 6 month old!

Im trying to understand what may have caused the chronic constipation currently have her on Hipp comfort milk. My gut is CMA but she only has the constipation symptom so the DR dismissed it.

I have tried:
Lactose
Baby massage bicycle legs etc
Sterile water
Started her aptimal then aptimal comfort then Hipp comfort

Any help or advise would be appreciated thank you xx

Prunes.

8 month old DS has problems with constipation (although never been diagnosed as chronic constipation to feel free to roll eyes and disregard this advice if you get it all the time Blush) he gets Ella's kitchen prunes with his breakfast most days , he does love them so that helps , and it makes such a difference.

Maybe worth a go.Smile

Thank you for your help! I’ll try anything to be honest. Do you just give him them straight out the pouch or with porridge etc? Thanks again x

Straight out of the pouch , they are messy as he won't let me do it anymore but definitely worth it! He wouldn't get a whole pouch as you get a lot in them , maybe a quarter or a half.
