to ask if you would be offended if your DH bought you lingerie for Xmas?

Just that really. Whilst changing the bedding over today I've found a gift bag containing a full lingerie set. Well I presume it's for me lol! My friend said that she wouldn't like that kind of gift and I told her she was a prude, all jokey btw. I just wondered how it sits with everyone on here? X

I have no DH so my bestie (male) buys my lingerie. I'd be seriously offended if he didn't

Personally I'd prefer vouchers to buy my own, not as romantic but at least you'd know it would fit & be to your own taste.

This is the first year i don't think he's getting me underwear. I'm unsure whether to feel sad or relieved.

For all those sharing personal information, I'm not sure that the thread is all that it seems, and suggest that you advance search before sharing further information on underwear.

It’s just never going to happen. A carefully wrapped set of red polyester lace nothingness would make me laugh out loud. Last time he had to buy me nightwear was after an emergency hospital admission postnatally: I got floor length lilac flowered wincyette number with long sleeves and a high neck. He thought it would be cosy. Bless.

So I think the offensive thing comes in when he doesn't know you well enough to know if you'd like it or not? My partner would never buy me that sort of underwear because he knows I hate it but he does buy me cute and novelty boxer shorts sometimes because he knows I love them

DH knows my taste in undies so he wouldn't buy me tasteless shite, and he would know my size.I'd be happy.

this would not be a gift for me, this would be a way of him giving himself his own gift IYSWIM.
if the gift was for me it would be warm and comfy (i toss and turn a lot) and possibly involve bed socks (because he knows i hate cold ankles and feet).
