To have two Christmas trees?

Usually we have one tree in our main living space. When it was just DH and I it was all greens/reds/golds nicely arranged decorations. We now have DC and of course the tree is now made up of their homemade decorations and some disney ones etc that they have chosen.

Don't get me wrong, i love this, its special to see their decorations from when they were small and its all nice and sentimental.

I have two trees for the first time this year. My main tree is in the living room, I have a few sets of colour coordinated decorations. This year I have gone with the cooper.

The second tree is on the landing and it has novelty decorations.

Have as many as you like.

Personally I don’t like the symmetrical coordinating ones and would have two completely gaudy over the top ones Grin

we have 2 trees and a tree-like garland in the hallway

Lounge tree is massive and fills the bay window, co-ordinated and all reds on the 'outside' then all of our personal baubles on the inside with warm white lights on the tree and the windowsill

6ft slim pop up tree in the dining room and the hall garland is co-ordinated with the dining room tree (whites and blues), blue lights on the windowsill in the dining room too

There is a mini pink tree that the kid has, but since she put all-year fairy lights up, shes not that bothered about it yet!

We have a real one in the sitting room, with all the decorations we've bought on holidays over the years, or memories of various occasions (a little house from the year we bought the house, a tiny christmas tree to remind us of the year the tree fell over on DS - that sort of thing), plus a load of red, white and pale blue stuff just to tie it all together a bit.

Then there's an artificial one in the dining room with all the lovely clear glass baubles I had before the kids were born.

The kids have little trees in their rooms (blue for him, pink for her - they picked them!) which they decorate with whatever the hell they like. I've started buying 'memory' decorations for them too.

And we've a two foot high one on top of the drawers in our room as well.

The sitting room one is always the absolute star of christmas though, the biggest and prettiest and the last one to be put up, and we have all the fun of going out and choosing it, and trying to fit it in the car. It's practically part of the family! Plus when we chop it up in january we always keep a lump of the trunk and put it away to burn on christmas eve the following year as our yule log.

getting click happy on amazon....many pretty things!!

rather excited that i get my own tree!!

as much as christmas is about the DC and obvious i want them to have fun, i love christmas too and would like just one tiny bit of it to be neat and co-ordinated rather than the chaos life with 4DC usually is!!

utterly i love the yule log idea! ours will be artificial unfortunately as i'm allergic to pine needles!!

Part of me is loving the idea of trees in the kids rooms but i think that could end in disaster with DC4 (3) probably pulling them down!!
