To wonder what you do with your elf in the day

Going to start elf on the shelf this year (dd is 3) but I know to move it at night but what do you do during the day if it's in the way? Do you just leave it?

One of the ideas was to make a snow angel out of flour in the kitchen but I can't leave t all day!

What a weird thing to worry about, eh

Don't do it! It's a trap and you'll get so tired of it!

I love stuff like that though! Maybe I'll just do it one year haha

Well, we don't play by the proper elf rules, but I just get the dc to pop the elf on a shelf while I clean up.

We did the snow angel flour this morning! When she’s not looking I stick him in the cupboard and act all surprised when she realises he’s gone ‘back to the north polw’

We just leave him where he was from his night time adventures, if he's in the way I move him as our rules say grown ups can touch him! We don't do anything massively creative though we tend to just move him around the house....
