Long form birth certificate

Posting for traffic and not sure where else to post.
I am English and living in Ireland. I am getting married next year and for that I need to get a long form birth certificate. I can't seem to find any information on ordering from abroad.
It also seems madness that the long form is now the one used for official reasons eg passports yet anyone can apply on behalf of someone else??

It because the parents' details are on the longer one

When I needed this, I ordered from the link given by dementedpixie, but sent it to my mother, who then posted it on to me. I didnt even investigate sending abroad tho.

Thanks. I had seen that link but wasn't sure if they would pay to post to Ireland. I might just have to get it sent to a friend then and have her post it out.
