To want to go to a social event with my DH

[sniff]

I know the answer is probably yes but..

My DH works away alot does very unpredictable shifts because he is a pilot

My Sister is having a party tomorrow afternoon for my step dad because he is 70 and yet again I have to go on my own because they have changed my other halfs shifts

I have asked him to go sick but he wont because he is on his notice period 4 months!!! he wont get paid sick

he is due to start a new job in sep taking him all over the world for 3 weeks away from home one week home and I just wanted to attend one social thing with him

I am cross I have to take the children 120 miles down the motorway and back without him yet again

just for one day I would like a man that goes to work and returns home at a reasonable time!!

if its any consolation my (now ex)dh is a builder who would leave at 5am and sometimes not get home til 1am the next morning if they had tight dead lines. and the pay was awful too!!! also had to work 7 days a week a lot of the time.

I had a long term relationship with a pilot and I know where you are coming from. It sucks.

he has just walked in takes one look at sulky face and says I did brief you that this might happen WTF

Is he still wearing his pilots uniform? Blimey, that would make me sooo happy!
