So I had a lot of drama yesterday.. it's an extremely long story, il cut it down..

My car went into a garage for a recall, gave it to them in perfect condition and I was given a loan car, loan car had a flat tyre! it all occupied a lot of my morning by the time I got to the garage they said it would take an hour to sort loan car.
I had my one year old DD with me and things to do so I said.. 'don't worry I will just take my car back and re-book'
Was given my car back which had already been moved into work area..
Within an hour or so I had a completely flat tyre on the same side under the same circumstances..
When I told the garage what had happened to my car and said do you not thing it's odd that these two cars have left your forecourt with the same problem within hours of each other, is there something on the ground there? I was told 'prove it'
😱
Is this some sort of strange coincidence and bloody unfortunate or something else..

Attached is the pic of the hole in my tyre

Bizarre but I'm assuming there's something on their floor.. they've nothing to gain from their own hire car getting damaged so seems odd. Perhaps unlucky but I guess you'd certainly need to prove it left their garage damaged and I don't think you can really?

You were probably just very unlucky, but the attitude of the garage is disgusting. There may well have been a load of fasteners spilled in the yard... they should have promised to check over the ground and sweep the workshop / handstand area.

BTW. As the puncture to your tyre is not in the sidewall, it can be repaired with a mushroom shaped insert which is about £20.
