Having lots of these.
Some recurring, some completely bizarre shit, and some that have obvious roots.
Can anyone share theirs?

Wow - I think I'm going to have nightmares about the cat funeral tonight.

There are three that have stuck with me. In the first one I was babysitting my niece when she was abducted. The vividness of the dream was the news (dm!) headlines and social media commentary on how I, as a childless woman, should never have been in charge of a child anyway and it was clearly all my fault. The absolute crushing grief and despair of the situation as hope faded over the days and weeks was so vivid and overwhelming and I'm tearing up now, just thinking back to it.

The second was that my mum and I were caught in a terrorist bombing. We had become separated just before the bomb so I was just walking towards her when she was hit by the full force of the blast.

The third one was less traumatic but upsetting in a different way. I dreamt that DH left me and moved into a flat in a different part of the city. He said some really awful things about me which was upsetting as (both in the dream in in reality) we've never had any marriage problems. The bizarre thing is that I can pinpoint the exact flat that was "his" and whenever I drive past it I feel genuine pangs of sadness for something that wasn't even real.

I dream about terrifying escalators that go fast and fling you off. It’s almost impossible to get on them, they go so fast... I’m always desperately trying to get somewhere too- usually it’s an airport and I’m going to miss my flight.

I saw my first energy saving escalator the other day (in real life) and nearly cried. I don’t want them to have the ability to speed up!

When I was about 18 I had a terrifying, horribly vivid dream that I was being chased, on foot, around a multi storey car park by Tiffany's dad from Eastenders Hmm I have only watched Eastenders a handful of times in my life, so it must have really disturbed me somehow! I still feel wary walking in a multi storey to this day...
