Cheap Nappies

Snooky1 · 29/11/2018 17:12

I have 2 kids of different ages wearing nappies. I hardly have time to keep on top of the washing as it is so reusable Nappies are out of the question I was just wondering what are the cheapest Nappies and wipes that are out there. What are people using and how much do they cost?
Thanks x

Aldi mamaia. Low price and good quality

Kpo58 · 29/11/2018 17:15

Go to www.bumdeal.co.uk
You can compare nappy and baby wipes costs for most brands

Mumof4under10 · 29/11/2018 17:15

We use lidl nappies. Less then a fiver for 72 nappies.

HildaZelda · 29/11/2018 17:18

Agree with @mammylamb. Aldi always seem to perform well in tests etc. My friend has 3 in nappies at the moment and she swears by them. She said no way in hell is she paying out for Pampers x3 when Aldi does the exact same job.

ShitUsername · 29/11/2018 17:18

I’ve been using mostly Tesco and Asda own brand nappies and wipes on my two for years with no problems, the nappies are around £2.99 a pack and the wipes are about 60-70p a pack. Aldi’s nappies get good reviews too

Brandnewstart · 29/11/2018 17:19

Pampers are the only ones that stick to my daughter’s skin when she’s done a poo Hmm. Much prefer the supermarket brands.

Littlebelina · 29/11/2018 17:29

Asda seem ok. Come up a bit smaller than Pampers we have found but held fast so far

Iputthescrewinthetuna · 29/11/2018 17:30

Mamia Nappies, Aldi!
I swear by them.
Also Asda's own brand - little angels they are quite good too.

Narya · 29/11/2018 17:30

Another vote for Aldi!

muchprefersummer · 29/11/2018 17:31

Always use Lidl ones. A big pack for less than £5. Great value and they don't leak.

CatLadyToddlerMother · 29/11/2018 17:31

Mamia at Aldi are good, also Tesco nappies are ok.

I've also borrowed a Lidl nappy off a friend and that did the job ok too.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 29/11/2018 17:36

We've always used Tesco or asda home brand an theyve been fine.

Ds doesn't like the Lidl ones. He always pulls them off.

frogsbreath · 29/11/2018 17:49

I never liked the Aldi ones as they are bulky and rigid, Boots own brand are great and often on special offers.

BunsOfAnarchy · 29/11/2018 17:54

Aldi all the way
As a FTM i only ever used aldi, had to grab one of my nephews pampers as id run out and i couldnt believe just how poor the quality was in comparison. Dd leaked through in a couple hours. They seem to swell waaaaay too much when wet compared to Aldi.

PipsM · 29/11/2018 17:58

Lidl/Aldi/Asda/boots own brand all work great. I don’t tend to have brand allegiance, just whichever shop I’m in. I don’t like pampers, they tend to stick and are expensive in comparison. Oh and Sainsbury’s nappies are fab, they seem to be a bit smaller so when we go up a size I often use a packet or two of them then move onto others.

AmyDowdensLeftLeftShoe · 29/11/2018 17:59

Aldi, Sainsbury's and Asda nappies. Lidl ones seem to leak due to the design.

I prefer Lidl wipes as they come out of the packet one at a time otherwise Aldi's will do. Aldi's are a lot wetter.

AmyDowdensLeftLeftShoe · 29/11/2018 18:02

Oh all the supermarket brands except Co-op work out at something 4p a nappy. Boots ones are slightly more expensive and Pampers are about 3-4 times as much as the supermarket brands.

PavlovaFaith · 29/11/2018 18:04

Aldi nappies have just changed and are now much thinner and lighter. I find they still perform brilliantly too.

Houseonahill · 29/11/2018 18:04

I've tried Aldi but prefer asda, same price less leakage especially at night.

PivotPivotPIVOTTT · 29/11/2018 18:05

Aldi here as well. Pampers are the worst in my opinion. Also don't get on with the cheap happy shopper nappies.

Poodles1980 · 29/11/2018 18:07

Aldi and lidl all the way here. I do occasionally use pampers so I can compare and can confirm there is no difference at all between them all and judging by the new update packaging on both pampers and lidl I would suggest they are made by the same people.

E20mom · 29/11/2018 18:10

Boots own brand are exactly the same as Pampers

1997artBA · 29/11/2018 18:11

Lidl nappies are really good. I think they are around 2.50 a packet, may be less. I was using ALDI before then but we had a few problems with leaking of the size 4 nappies. Don’t know if it was a dodgy batch or what.

Notgotajarofglue · 29/11/2018 18:12

Pampers are the best

festivedramallama · 29/11/2018 18:18

Lidl by far
