Payment date and contract date not the same

So, new job and in my contract there's a named day I get paid. I work remotely so don't have a lot of exchanges with colleagues. Named date has been and gone and speaking to one of my colleagues they've said we get paid on the last Friday of the month.

Can't get hold of my boss (who does the payments manually) and I have a feeling that this is a ready made contract from their legal firm so might not be 100% what they expected (I had to change a number of things before I signed it that were totally irrelevant).

Aibu to just let that be the case or should I insist I get paid on the date in the contract? It's not a massive issue (sometimes I'll be paid earlier and sometimes a day or so later). It wasn't an issue last month as the day was one and the same.

By not expected I mean a one size fits all that you just tweak and amend to fit your purposes.

Does the contract state the date the payment is calculated from rather than payment made date?

It says that remuneration is made on say the 27th. They use FP rather than BACS as well.
