Teething baby?

First time mum here and new to mn
Not to sure where to post

I think my 17w old may be teething
Over the last couple of weeks he has been very dribbly and getting flushed rosy cheeks a few times through the day (have checked his temp and all normal)

Not sure if this it a sign or just something babies do, He has been chewing and sucking his finger a lot mostly chewing and he nibbles my thumb when sitting on my lap

He absolutely loves his nubby ring coos and kicks when he see it shoves it straight into his moth and gnaws with such gusto it's quite comical ( though it may be a feeding cue but he does it even after feeds increased amount but he has doesenr drink the extra so has his usual amount)

Mil says dh cut his first tooth at 3mo

Is it possible he is starting or am I reading too much into it?

Teething. My DS had 4 teeth by 4m old 👍

(And all his teeth by his 1st Birthday!! 🙈)

One of mine cut their first tooth at 14 weeks.

Both DH and I were early teethers as well.

The bonus is, they get them out the way quick. They look really funny when they are only 4-5 years old with no front teeth. Then huge adult teeth 😁

ThatOneHurt · 28/11/2018 22:45

Bonnie yes! Both of mine were done by then as well!

Definitely teething. My DD started teething at 8 weeks ( had this confirmed by both gp and health visitor), she had her first two teeth at 6.5 months old.

Well it sounds like it could be. If there's nothing actually upsetting him at the moment then probably don't worry about it

Congrats on your lovely baby.

No he doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all.
Thank you for your replys, I suppose I need to strap myself in and prepare for those toothies to make their appearance Grin
