I’ll start. There is absolutely nothing acceptable about all day breakfast in a tin so why did I buy it in B&M earlier and eat it for dinner?! Blush

You used to be able to get Pot Mash, they came with croutons and you made it up like a regular pot noodle, with hot water, let it stand - and then you had the most amazing, smooth, tasty, salty, delicious mashed potato with crunchy croutons and various other goodies and OMG they were AMAZING. And, like a previous poster said, I miss them EVERYWHERE. I still miss them.

And. This is really quite greedy but I like to buy one of the bigger bars of Cadburys Dairy Milk and melt it in a pan of full fat milk. It makes the best hot chocolate you could ever want. It is heaven. But it basically is drinking a whole bar of chocolate so only for occasional consumption as I am fat enough already Blush Sad

chicken kievs from the supermarket frozen section. I try to avoid processed foods in my diet but I dream about these damn things, not enough to make some from scratch mind you.

mastertomsmum · 28/11/2018 11:37

Bacon fries by Smiths crisps, usually sold with the aforementioned Scampi fries in variety packs from Poundland.

Fish or crab paste in a toasted sarnie - this was an ex boyfriend's fave rather than mine.

Old fashioned Findus fishcake with beans, cheese and pickles. Same but with pork and pickle pork pie

Not had any of these for ages, mind you

mastertomsmum · 28/11/2018 11:38

oh and - if they still sell it - tinned ravioli on toast.

ComeOnComeOnComeOnGetThroughIt · 28/11/2018 12:17

Tin of mushy peas. Heat up in a pan. Fire in some bits of the ham that you use for the kids' packed lunches. Put in a bowl with a splash of vinegar (balsamic if you're feeling posh) and some pepper. Proper winter comfort- and also completely free on Slimming World.

Also butter on weetabix. Definitely not free on SW

BumDisease · 28/11/2018 12:22

@tolerable

I know your comment was pages ago but tinned haggis is delicious. Especially on toast.

fanfan18 · 28/11/2018 12:26

Tinned spaghetti bolognase

Bernards Matthews ham-wich

TheBookThief · 28/11/2018 12:27

Pasta (preferably spirali) with ketchup and grated cheese - disgusting, devoid of any nutrition but warming, comforting and delicious.
I am proud to say I have so far converted 33% of the DC to eating it #parentingwin

Cuzcothellama · 28/11/2018 12:28

Cheese strings. They're my guilty pleasure. I am known for liking proper / posh cheese quite a lot, so I don't admit it to people!

TheBookThief · 28/11/2018 12:30

oh gods yes, cheese strings - drool

Alfie190 · 28/11/2018 12:32

I have been known to buy spam and make fritters. Only in secret though, when DH is out.

TeachesOfPeaches · 28/11/2018 12:36

Tinned all day breakfast with a fried egg on top.

Turkey twizzlers.

Golden drummers.

Fray bentos steak pie.

Imnotswallowingthat · 28/11/2018 13:05

Crisp sandwiches. Either cheese and onion with plenty of butter or ready salted with salad cream. Nectar.

Grablifebytheballs · 28/11/2018 13:13

singlebutmarried Smash... Oh Yes!!!!

Between bread. Carb heaven!

DaftCat · 28/11/2018 13:15

Whenever these threads come up loads of people do as they’re doing now and list white bread, super noodles, tinned foods & frozen foods as their guilty pleasures. (Mine is beef Hula Hoops with strong cheddar squashed into the holes btw) and then one person comes along as says their guilty pleasure is lettuce, or a ‘massive salad’ or aubergines or something.
Glad to see it’s happened here too. Feta & tomatoes poster. I’m lookong at you.

Grablifebytheballs · 28/11/2018 13:15

Also.....

comeoncomeoncomeon... butter on weetabix - Definitely a yes!

babybunny123 · 28/11/2018 13:25

Toast Toppers all flavours, love em.

Scoleah · 28/11/2018 13:26

@DaftCat Omg never thought of squashing cheese inside the Hula Hoop! Thanks For the amazing idea! Grin

ToastedSandwichObsession · 28/11/2018 13:26

@Daftcat ooh I'm now adding beef flavoured hula hoops to my shopping list, we have normal ones here but your highly nutritious 'recipie' sounds delicious Grin

ToastedSandwichObsession · 28/11/2018 13:27

They still make toast toppers?

cstaff · 28/11/2018 13:28

Peanut butter spread on a wrap, heated for about 20 seconds and add some sliced juicy apple - divine and almost or half healthy

caperplips · 28/11/2018 13:32

M&S used to do a vacuum packed 'brunch' in a box. I loved the bacon and potato one and always had a couple of boxes in the cupboard when I was in my 20s for sunday morning hangovers. I would still buy them if I could. You lobed it all out into a frying pan and basically smooshed it about until it went all crispy and crunchy.

Other guilty foods for me include chip shop chip sandwiches on really fresh white bread with real butter and loads of salt and vinegar

Or tayto cheese and onion sandwiches also on thickly buttered white bread

I try not to eat too much bread but sometimes if we have very fresh bread in I can't resist buttering the bread, a good layer of nice raspberry jam and folding the bread over and gobbling it - not pretty and I could easily put away 4 slices of bread that way (which is why I avoid bread!)

When I am home alone and have to make dinner / lunch for myslef I can often stick on a tray of oven chips, adding obscene amounts of salt and vinegar and topping with 2 eggs fried in butter - dinner of champions!

DaftCat · 28/11/2018 13:34

Haha! Glad to be of service. I usually cut a few cheese slices about 3/4 cm thick and use the Hula Hoops to ‘stamp’ out the circles of cheese. It has the added advantage of making it take ages to eat a small packet of crisps
