To think £730 for Tru-fit Juliet Balcony blinds is extortionate? I need alternative ideas.

I would like some blackout blinds for this Juliet Balcony door, so yesterday a salesperson from a local blind shop came round to measure up. He has quoted me £730 for pleated Tru-fit blinds. I really like the way that they just fit in the glass panels and you can slide them into any position - down as well as up - but surely there must be a cheaper alternative? Are there other brands that do the same job or similar? The salesman wasn't able to suggest anything else.

Or is £730 the going rate?

We are getting tru fit blinds from Blinds2go online (who I am not affiliated with in any way shape or form) as we have just moved house and have 3 sets of French doors.

You measure up yourself and fit yourself but as they just clip in it looks dead easy and it's not stupidly expensive.

Another vote for Blinds2Go. We haven't used them for trufit but have had 3 sets of blinds including velux ones, they have been very reasonably priced and good quality.

My OH sells blinds for a living and said perfect fit blinds should cost about £250 for both blinds. You pay through the nose with Luxaflex, we have perfect fit pleated on our exterior french doors and they're great.

Yep another vote for Blinds2Go here. We've had various ones but their velum ones are exactly the same but half the price.

Thankyou! I was sure there had to be an alternative. I'll check them out.

Yep go to blinds2go and use the measurements from your quote.

Hmm, just had a look at blinds2go and it's not obvious which blinds you mean. The "conservatory blinds" seem to be the closest, though not blackout. Is that what you meant?

Ah, I think I've got it. DuoShade EasiFIT are blackout.

I have blinds from Blinds2Go on my patio doors. Great price and I really like them.
