As many are so concerned about plastic. I am cutting down.Orange and cloves pomanders are my contribution...smell amaaaaaaazing. Made a load...in airing cupboard drying out to hand on ( real) tree. Smug..

I'm knitting things for special chosen people. using brown paper to wrap.
we started to downscale in our family last year - it made for a very lovely christmas - but still gave some pressies that were electronics so may have cancelled out all of that.

it's hard , especially when working full time to make and research alternatives. I could never give up on presents though as I love the whole thing so much

I'm thinking of getting my DPs a mushroom growing kit. After you've exhausted the crop of mushrooms which are grown in recycled coffee grounds, you can use the 'soil' on your garden.

for next year: lavender bags made with clothes that are too old to send to charity.

quilts, also with those clothes.

sock monkeys, (kids old tights?)

grow pots of herbs/plants

chutneys/jams made from bumper crops.

mum liked garden labels cut from old plastic margerine tubs one year.

baked goods/homemade sweets.
