DH uses this word sometimes and it makes me cringe! I find it so pompous and irritating

Is it just me?!

Yeah... YANBU. I mean, personally, I feel like it’s synonymous with ‘therefore’. But I haven’t literally google defined it before writing this so I might have egg on my face in a moment 😂

FearLoveAndTheTimeMachine · 24/11/2018 20:40

Oh okay they are literally synonymous.

So YANBU. Like, in a way I think fair play, use the words you like. But you’re not unreasonable to find it annoying.

Pooshy · 24/11/2018 20:40

Yes I agree, it's the same sort of meaning but just really annoying to use Confused

Nothing wrong with a bit of Latin!

RangeRider · 24/11/2018 20:40

I use it a lot. I studied Latin..... (It's Latin for therefore)

HirplesWithHaggis · 24/11/2018 20:41

It's Latin for "therefore" (no egg, FearLove! Grin ), just shorter to read/write/say. Meh.

GlacindaTheTroll · 24/11/2018 20:43

"Oh okay they are literally synonymous"

Unless you are a rower.....

pancaketosser · 24/11/2018 20:43

Never watch Go Jetters on Cbeebies then!

BeardedMum · 24/11/2018 20:46

If part of a rich vocabulary I would not get annoyed. Yabu

Runnynosehunny · 24/11/2018 20:47

Its not that bad a choice of word ergo your dh may be talking a lot of waffly bs and that is what is really getting your goat 🐐

Pogmella · 24/11/2018 20:51

If it's a GoJetters thing I've got more of a problem with the theme tune "Kian's so fantastic when gymnastics what you need". When do you ever NEED gymnastics? Help! If only someone coukd do a really good forward roll the terrorists would surely disband!

Pooshy · 24/11/2018 20:54

Runny nose you've probably hit the nail on the head there Wink
