AIBU? Dd1 goes to a toddler group and whenever we go there's always poorly kids! She went last week and now is very unwell with a bad cold, temprature and a horrible nasty cough. This has been passed to DD2 who is only 3 months old. Both are barley eating and struggling to get fluids in to dd1 today. Why can't people keep their kids at home that are ill?! I understand its good for there immune system but they seem to be getting worse not better. Toddler group openly admit there is no policy to keep ill kids off. Does this drive anyone else crazy?!

They just get them. Honestly, you could take them to the supermarket and they could pick up a bug just as easily. When children are at nursery or school, and especially if parents work, they will have to go with a cold.

It will be the same as nursery where the policy is only to not send a child in with something like DV, chicken pox etc.
Slightly different as it’s a group, but young kids would hardly do anything if they had to avoid everything anytime they got ill
