We've seen a house we love but dh (main earner) is a contractor. Really interested to hear of any advice/experience from others who have been in our position.

Try London and country (recommended by mse - we weren't in quite the same situation but had lots of complexities for various reasons!

Does your DH have employment records from before be started contracting? My DH days it's fine, if so. He's only been contracting for 1.5 years and we're going to talk to CMME, as recommended by his colleagues.

Yes he has long record of employment in the same field he is contracting in now. Thanks for the encouragement! Good luck with your application.

We used Santander in the same situation.

Halifax is also very flexible and think-out-of-boxy (technical term there).

You have lots of options

Best of luck to you too!

Freelancer Financials. They were great with us in a similar situation.

Second London & Country, they've just done our remortgage with no problems. DH is a contractor just under 2 years (and no fixed contract, on a 3 month rolling basis). We ended up going with Halifax
