All these insta bloggers saying they don't "believe" in Black Friday

When they try and flog us stuff every other day of the year. Aibu to find it a bit hypocritical? It's annoying me the way they're kind of being all smug and above it all when they're always trying to sell us stuff we don't need.

Yes I know I should unfollow before anyone says anything. Grin

Yanbu!!

Desperate sad women! Insta floggers have had their day now I think

CarrotTop6 · 23/11/2018 23:05

Yep I am bored completely of Instagram thanks to ads. I unfollow anyone who does them! Still seem to get some sneaked on to my feed but I simply check the ASA guidelines and they are usually breaking them, so I report them!

Black Friday is a load of bollocks though

OhTinky · 23/11/2018 23:05

Agree! I know they’re small businesses and don’t have the margins to offer big Black Friday discounts.
But one Instagrammer was complaining about Black Friday whilst trying to justify a £300 price point on a jumper, so their message fell flat as I can’t afford their items with or without a discount!

Carpetglasssofa · 23/11/2018 23:06

Makes sense, if they get everything for free anyway.

fireworkbang · 23/11/2018 23:08

Yep totally agree about Black Friday being bollocks. It's just irritating when advert heavy bloggers smugly post "oh no Black Friday for me so here are 5 charities to donate to instead",

I don't mind the odd ad, I follow susie verill and Esther Coren who are both funny and do ads but haven't been all sanctimonious about Black Friday.

Slightly off topic, but my dd who is seven asked me this afternoon 'why don't we celebrate black Friday in this house mum?

Sorry I don't know where that m came from. I wonder what she thinks celebrating Black Friday would look like, all the family crowding round the laptop looking at amazon with a glass of cava? Grin
