I disagree profoundly with Farage on almost everything, but I always grudgingly respected him for refusing to play the race card. Whether this was because he genuinely isn’t a racist, or it was a canny tactical ploy to keep the kippers in the respectale political mainstream and on Question Time, only he knows.

Clearly, the people now running UKIP are either more racist, less smart, less cynical or some combination of those.
