Hairdresser running a hour late...aibu to be annoyed ?

So it's quite a busy fancy hairdressers ..thought I would treat myself.
My apt was at 12...got here at 11.45 and it's 13.07 and I'm still sat in my gown waiting.
She's started another client about 20 mins ago..
So I'm worrying I won't get to school on time
Aibu to be getting a bit annoyed now ?

LOL @ the treatment. It's bloody Pantene you can buy a huge vat of in Sally's for about £10. If people allow themselves to be treated like suckers, they can't be surprised when someone uses them as a mark.

thenightsky · 22/11/2018 16:03

The worst one I ever went to was an after work 6pm appointment. I got home at 20 past midnight.

Hmm = DH's face when I tried to convince him I'd been at the hairdressers.

Rachie1986 · 22/11/2018 16:08

What happened OP? Did you make the school run?

Cutesbabasmummy · 22/11/2018 16:15

Has anyone considered that she was running late because all her previous clients were late? If her previous 5 clients were all "just ten minutes late" that has quite a knock on effect. I'm not saying its acceptable but it may not have been her fault.

MindBodyChocolate · 22/11/2018 16:21

I had this before - I left after half an hour. No acknowledgement of lateness, nothing. I don’t give ppl like that my custom.

sunglasses123 · 22/11/2018 16:23

The NightSky - that is really funny. I am sure it wasn't at the time but it sounds completely made up to a man.

My DH knows better than to poke around in what I spend at the hairdressers. I don't colour my hair and go once every 2.5 months so feel I can splash out on someone nice. Its when they don't treat you right that it gets annoying.

My worst ever hair cut was when I was about 14. I had a fringe and hairdresser cut it so so short it looked completely out of balance with the rest of my hair which was a longish bob. At 14 you cannot just throw money or complain about it. So I had to wait until it grew back. I looked really really stupid!

Show them this thread and tell them you will put the name of salon on as well.

Seriously unwise, unless you want to end up with green hair.

Hissy · 22/11/2018 16:28

She should give you the treatment for FREE!
And a discount on the main appointment!

Tangledweb0 · 22/11/2018 17:10

Yes true miscible Grin
I’d say this when complaining at the end!

tigwig76 · 22/11/2018 18:39

Did you pay for the 'half price' treatment?!

alltoomuchrightnow · 22/11/2018 19:14

So to add insult to injury, she chose to upsell!

lindey0 · 23/11/2018 12:44

I didn't no
But my hair has barely changed colour :-(

Sounds awful. I had a nail lady like that - she did amazing nails but 3 times I was waiting an hour or more while she finished the previous client. In my head I was saying ‘I’m going in 5 mins’ but in reality I was too nervous Grin which is silly so I haven’t been back since. Worse, the last time I went one of the clients was saying ‘it’s worth an extra wait people dont understand’- no, you book an appointment then you are treated at the time specified.

dustarr73 · 23/11/2018 13:00

@lindey0 i hope you complain.Do it through email,than you have a trail.

Hannnnnnnxo · 23/11/2018 14:40

What happened to your hair colour?

lindey0 · 23/11/2018 14:47

That's a lovely colour though.

lindey0 · 23/11/2018 15:00

Would a toner help?

OP posts:
Hannnnnnnxo · 23/11/2018 15:14

Did she highlight your hair? If so, what colour were you aiming for? A toner wouldn’t do much if you want to lift the warmth, I don’t think, as your hair is a bit too dark for a toner to take effect. If you want blonde you need another bleachSad

lindey0 · 23/11/2018 15:18

She used bleach and painted it on (balayage )

PlateOfBiscuits · 23/11/2018 15:19

What did you ask for?

PlateOfBiscuits · 23/11/2018 15:20

What?! Your hair does not look balanced at all! Can you take another pic to include the roots?

PlateOfBiscuits · 23/11/2018 15:20

Balyaged* not balanced...

lindey0 · 23/11/2018 15:25

It's not letting me post another pic today but I have a pic on my other thread I've posted today
