So I put my wedding dress up for sale on a well known wedding dress site and it’s been up for a while. A few months back a lady messaged asking for waist measurements which I gave then heard nothing. She messaged last week saying the wedding was called off due to illness but is now back on and to measure some other parts of the dress which I have done. She has said she isn’t bothered about stains etc (which the dress does have, its listed as needing a clean) however she wants me to ship the dress to America for her wedding in the first week of December. The dress is pretty expensive in my eyes, cost £3k new and am selling for £1k including veil. Does this sound like a scam? I’m convinced it is but my DH has his Christmas head on and is saying ‘no as long as she pays’. I’ve read about scams of people buying last minute dresses, wearing them and them claiming they aren’t as decribed to get their money back within the 30 day money back period on PayPal. AIBU to think it’s a scam?
