arrg, I have no idea what to get for a 11 year old girl. DD's netball club are doing SS this year, AIBU to think it will have to be some plastic tat? But what? Willing to spend around £10.00. So far dd has suggested stationary, or something from Lush? What do i get?

Your DD’s ideas sound good

Unicornandbows · 19/11/2018 21:41

I was in sainsbury today and saw a pink mug with marshmallow and cocoa powder at about £8. I will try and find the link

Birdsgottafly · 19/11/2018 21:41

Why would it be plastic tat? What plastic tat would an 11 year old be into?

Toiletries, or Pj's from Primark, if the girls are a consistent size. As well as stationary. That's if you can't put a gift card in.

Ilovealexa · 19/11/2018 21:42

Like your daughters ideas :)

Joma 'Secret Santa' bracelet

bigchris · 19/11/2018 21:43

Give tenner to dd

She chooses the gift

halcyondays · 19/11/2018 21:44

Is there not a suggested price limit anyway? It usually seems to be about £5 for kids' Secret Santa.

I would just let your dd choose it, maybe stationery, bath bombs or li balms.

If you go on their Christmas gift section there are lots of ideas

EmUntitled · 19/11/2018 21:47

Surely your daughter should be choosing the present, not you? Her ideas sound good.

Lush do gift boxes for around £10 but you don't get much for your money (2 bath bombs in a gift box).

Body shop have a whole "gifts for teens" section and 25% off for black Friday.

I used to like stuff from Paperchase at that age.

The mug is great Unicornandbows, I'll show it to dd tomorrow and see what she thinks.

Leave it to your daughter to decide what to get! You just have to facilitate ordering it online or taking her to the shop to buy it

WithAFaeryHandInHand · 19/11/2018 22:18

Lush stuff or stationery sounds good to me.

That mug looks like useless tat to me (sorry).

userofthiswebsite · 19/11/2018 22:22

Scarf perhaps

Patienceisvirtuous · 19/11/2018 22:23

Fluffy socks and chocolate

Fatbutt · 20/11/2018 15:27

Anything with Unicorns, Mermaids or Glitter

Cute mug with sweets/hot chocolate (Don't forget the Marshmallows) - you can buy ready made gifts, but get more for your money to pick a cute mug and fill it yourself

Bath Bombs, Stationary... Sweets (mine seems to like Bean Boozled, or anything with a youtube 'challenge' attached to it!)

Smiggle and Lush seems to be popular..
