My best friend from childhood

I heard today that she has passed away.
I don't want Flowers or Wine
She was brilliantly funny, clever and witty, and we spent the 80's going to festivals and dancing.
She helped me recover from childhood abuse.
I found love and a happy ever after.
She didn't.
Her life over the last few years was chaotic.
I miss her.

That's terrible, I'm sorry. Would you like to share any anecdotes about her that make you smile?

Oh Emma that is so sad. I'm so sorry. Your post has really struck a chord with me. No flowers or anything but I'm sorry for your loss.

I’m sorry. Nothing profound to say but RIP to your friend and hope you’re ok.

My best mate that I knew from the age of 3 died age 31.

She was amazing, beautiful, funny, clever and far too young to die.

Life is an absolutely bastard sometimes.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I know very much how painful it can be.

She was funny. She was so pretty. She was vivacious and the party only started when she arrived. I love her. I miss her. She became alcohol dependent and that is why she died. Multi organ failure at the age of 56.
I got busy with my career, my husband, my children and I let her go.
