AIBU to be annoyed at friend cancelling coffee (again)?

My good friend of 8 years moved away with work to a city that I have family in. I go there every few months to visit them.

I think out of the last 4 times we’ve arranged coffee she’s cancelled 3 times. It’s usually due to having work to do/ other commitments that can be managed if wanted.

My role is identical to hers but has more responsibility, so more take home work. So I understand the amount of work we have to do outside of office. Which is heavy but can be managed.

AIBU to be pissed off that she keeps cancelling, after agreeing a time that is convenient for her and even me being willing to go to her flat rather than meet out. We’ll arrange days or even weeks beforehand, usually followed by a night before text confirming,
and then on day of the event will get a text saying sorry I’m too busy with work.

I feel as if I re arrange stuff and work around her but she puts no effort in. Sad

Yanbu
Sack her off.

Forget about her and don't bother, she obviously isn't

I have got to that point with one of my friends. Just stop arranging stuff. She might start putting in the effort, she might not. If the latter, you know where you stand.

Don’t arrange anything again, leave it with her, if she doesn’t bother to arrange to meet up then that’s it.

Don't bother arranging with her anymore. Stop chasing her. If she suggests anything, put her off, but my guess is that she won't.

That should have also read that we've been friends for 18 years!
