Shamelessly posting in here for traffic. Did anyone go to the creative craft show earlier this month at the NEC? There was a guy selling special gin there, well there was more than 1 selling gin but this one had a plum one, I think an elderflower one plus a nettle gin amongst others. It’s DM’s birthday soon and she really liked the nettle gin sample but i cant remember the company. Google no help so I’m clutching at straws and hoping someone here remembers. Please and thank you

Oh sorry I see this wasn't the same month but surely a lot of the stallholders will be the same, I know that's the case with the Good Food Show.

cooblanket I looked at Edinburgh gin but the bottles didn’t look familiar and they sell that in Tesco. I got the impression this gin was a fairly small company. Could be wrong.

Think I’ve found it

I found on another thread (can't remember which) that Lidl was having a gin festival. As unlikely as it sounds I went and found it was true, and I got a small batch, very well-reviewed Welsh gin, rhubarb and ginger, now stashed away for a friend's xmas present.

I got a couple from the Lidl festival as well ~ Shetland Reel and Strathearn. I haven't tried them yet as they were supposed to be for Christmas, but I just went to check the names and it appears that DP has already sampled them

Which one was it OP?

OhNoes may I encourage you to try the Shetland gin, since it's opened and all, and tell us all what you think of it? (It's such a beautiful bottle, too!)
