To feel cringy about newsnight wines and cushions

I can't help feeling cringy and bemused to see newsnight displaying 4 bottles of wine and cushions.
Are they trying to dilute the seriousness of newsnight and to ease the European.

Not very British wining on the news
It gets ridiculous to cover the label.
Although,newsnight is a good provenance,good year is another matter.

We shall see if it's one off or wining became the norm.

I hope not. The British already drink far too much. We should be trying to move away from normalised alcoholism not further into it.

Left me totally bemused, tuned in midway through the program and spent the whole time wondering why there was wine on the table and trying to read the labels. Mind you, it's turning wankier every day. I tend to stop paying attention unless it's Emily asking the questions.
