To smudge?

We moved to a new home (new to us Not new build) and we've all been ill a lot since we moved here - a friend has suggested we should smudge the place to cleanse and start over? AIBU to smile and nod and not know wtf she is on about?! Help!

I've never smudged but I don't think it'll do any harm to. It'd maybe leave a strong smell though.

I like the look of smudge sticks etc (though it's an aesthetic preference rather than belief), but all I can think it's that surely they just smell burnt.

Do it if it makes you feel better, it can't hurt anything unless you leave it unattended or someone in the house is asthmatic .

You can buy incense sticks of white sage on amazon if u fancy giving it a go. The sage bundles look a bit scary and messy to me.

Can you not just open a window to let the negative energy out?

@StoneofDestiny it can only be hoovered up by a Henry hoover, they have a special filter that means they don't hoover up the good energy.
