Not watching it but I love it when they show people watching it on Gogglebox. Their reactions are hilarious!

UrsulaPandress · 13/11/2018 19:56

Shall I try it? Need to find something to watch but I’m a wuss.

Ohb0llocks · 13/11/2018 19:56

I didn't find it that scary and I'm the biggest wuss ever

JudasPrudy · 13/11/2018 19:57

I couldn't watch it! It was quiet quiet then BANG BANG LOUD NOISES which irritated me so I turned it off.

I love watching it on gogglebox too though!

JudasPrudy · 13/11/2018 19:57

Loved the brother and sister from Blackpool watching the car scene 😂

GinaCarbonara · 13/11/2018 19:57

I found it far less scary than I was expecting after reading the reviews. A couple of jump scares and that was it!

But I thought it was really good, so much more than just a horror show.

MrsJayy · 13/11/2018 20:01

I also watch the goggleboxers watching it they are hilarious i watch the clips from behind my hands I would die be scared if i watched the whole thing

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:01

Ursula Yes, Yes, Would love to know what you think ! Its def worth a go. A good storyline too but it sure is jumpy.

UCWorries · 13/11/2018 20:04

I liked it apart from the really shit ending. Was so disappointing.

Tadda · 13/11/2018 20:05

I thought it was more creepy than jumpy - and so well done!

Currently watching it second time round and it makes far more sense! Definitely re-watch when you've finished!

PyeWackets · 13/11/2018 20:08

I loved the ending! I want a prequil, maybe set in the twenties.

PyeWackets · 13/11/2018 20:09

prequel!

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:10

Oooh, don't tell me the ending ! Grin Can't wait for the new series of Stranger Things either ! Top class !

WaitrosePigeon · 13/11/2018 20:11

It was creepy as hell. Brilliant series.

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:12

I'm all for a prequel too !

OP posts:
Tadda · 13/11/2018 20:12

I keep trying to look for the similarities between the series and that awful Zeta-Jones film as apparently based on the same book??

Booskina · 13/11/2018 20:12

Loving this too!

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:13

Yes indeedeee Waitrose Bloody great stuff !

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:14

tadda Didn't know of Zeta-Jones link !

OP posts:
chickywoo · 13/11/2018 20:14

I loved it - was compulsive viewing but agree that it’s not as scary as you think it’s going to be it’s manageable and I’m a wuss Grin really good story jumps backwards and forwards and tells the story of each family member in each episode - but I was left a bit dissatisfied at the ending.

daffodillament · 13/11/2018 20:16

So have they left it open for another series ?

OP posts:
Flapdoodles · 13/11/2018 20:18

I think it is really scary, although we don't help by watching it in the dark! @daffodillament you are braver than me, I wouldn't watch it without DH there as I would never sleep afterwards.

RaininSummer · 13/11/2018 20:18

I thought it was great but not that scary.

birdladyfromhomealone · 13/11/2018 20:31

we thought it was so good we watched all 10 episodes over 3 nights.
it wasnt scary but jumpy- more like being on the end of your seats rather than being scared.
but FFS why do all these good series have such a bloody stupid ending.
